I am currently in Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity in our university. We also have another business fraternity here called AKPsi, Alpha Kappa Psi. Our school is having a b-ball game coming up and b-ball is a huge scene here. I wanted to invite some of the AKPsi members to come and chill with us, and to bond. I never really spoke to any of them because we are not in the same business frat and don’t see each other often (might just see one or two in class). Do you guys think its a good idea? I know during rush week we will get a bit competitive with each other because we are fighting for the best recruits , but I just want a friendly vibe here. Anyone here chilled with other frats before? Do things get competitive between you guys?
I’m not Greek, but at every school I’ve been to different organizations (fraternities and sororities) sponsor events together, have mixers and parties together, and sponsor a “Greek Week” that celebrates being Greek no matter the letters.
What matters is what the other members of your fraternity think. If they are all cool with it, then I don’t see why you wouldn’t invite them.
