Three friends and I are planning on going to the Lehigh vs. Princeton game on Saturday. Should we buy our tickets ahead of time or should we definitely be able to purchase four general admission tickets at the stadium around noon on Saturday?

Only the Lehigh-Lafayette football game sells out immediately, but many games tend to get very, very full especially if the weather is nice. I’m in the Marching 97, and we attend each home game, so I know from experience.

It’s not likely that the Lehigh-Princeton game will sell out. Princeton doesn’t tend to have many anxious fans that are willing to travel. However, you should keep in mind that buying tickets online are a few dollars cheaper than buying them at the gate. You also won’t have to worry about getting there early and waiting in line. If you’re not early enough, you could get screwed waiting at the gate for tickets, since a lot of people tend to rush in last minute.

I recommend buying ahead, if that’s possible.

Best,

We ended up buying them online and it payed off because the line for tickets when we got there was HUGE. Thank you for the advice. We actually ended up sitting next to the marching band which I also found entertaining.

entrance to football games for students is free! all you need is your id. lehigh has a new program this year where points are received for every game you swipe into…here is info from an email sent out 9/11:
“As a thank you for supporting your fellow students, a new program has been launched around attendance at Athletics events. The program is called Clutchs Crew Rewards. Clutchs Crew is a new Student-Senate recognized club on campus with the mission of maximizing attendance and energy/spirit at home games.
Heres how the program works: You continue to swipe your Lehigh ID at home events, and accumulate points. The more points you accumulate, the better prizes you win as a thank you…Finally, student tickets for the Lehigh-Lafayette Football game, the 148th Meeting of College Footballs Most-Played Rivalry, will now be sold online only based on points within this system.”
so the more points you get, the higher your chance of being able to buy a le-laf ticket!

hope that helps!
