I’m a future Yale student, class of '13, and I’ve been looking for sometime on their website/e-mail correspondences, but I can’t find their policy on grades for senior year! Do they require students to get no “C’s” and that’s it? I know I could do that, but I have yet to get a B in high school, and I know there will be at least one if not three on this transcript (the final semester of senior year)… Does anybody know? Will they care? Thanks!!

No, we don’t have to maintain a certain GPA.

Just try not to let yours deviate too much from where it was when you got accepted.

Avoid C’s, but I’m sure a smattering of B’s will be just fine! Enjoy final semester of senior year… I know I am! :D

I’m also struggling with a single bad grade and contacted the admissions office because I was worried. They told me not to be concerned about it jeopardizing my admission so long as I kept my other grades up to snuff, but also strongly suggested that it would be a very good idea to improve my grade before I graduate.

One C, probably even two Cs (with the rest As) will not get your admission rescinded. Don’t worry about it. It almost never happens (I’ve never heard of an actual case, being a rising Yale sophomore). Nevertheless, don’t neglect your studies too much and still learn as much as your senioritis self can.
