Do honors kids automatically live on Upper?

I was admitted into the honors program, but I don’t think I want to live in the honors housing. If I don’t, do I “forfeit” my right to live on Upper (therefore being thrown into the pool of everyone picking between Newton vs. Upper), or do I automatically get to be on Upper, even if I don’t want to be in Medeiros? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere.

ALSO: Does how early you make your deposit determine where you live? Thanks!!

Honors students don’t automatically get Upper. The only way to guarantee Upper for HP students is the Honors Housing. I don’t think the how early your deposit is sent determines where you live. I believe it’s pretty much a lottery between Upper and Newton.

^^Reddune has it right.^^

What’s the difference between living in upper or living in Newton anyway?

This question comes up all the time. I’ve posted some links to past discussions here.
