Do I apply to a community college the same way as I would apply to any other college?

For context, I live in the Central Valley and I’m only applying to one out of state school. The rest are in California. I would like to attend UC Davis since it’s close to home and I heard they have a TAG program for CC students.

I probably sound really naive, but do I apply to a CC by filling out an application online? Or how do I do it? CC is a good backup option for me.

For California CC’s, you just need to fill out the on-line application. Each CC may have a variation of the information needed and some will ask for placement tests or if you have AP/IB credit, then you could waive the placement tests. Each go to each CC’s website to see what is needed to apply.
