Do I check the "International" box?

I am a USA citizen, born there and lived there for 14.5 years. I now live in India. I don’t reside within the US, obviously, but am I “international”.

I posted a similar question and the answer depends on which box. Application, maybe. Financial aid, doubtfully. Talk to the school and ask them.

You’ll be classified as “International,” although you don’t need a visa or anything like other true internationals.

I don’t think it matters as long as you make your situation clear. They will figure out how to deal with you based on that, not whether you check the box or not.

It’s better to check with the school.
My friend had very similar situation like you. He did not get any FA, we guess maybe it’s because he was “international”.
Just for your information.
