I’m interested in the humanities, and I want to come off that way to colleges because that’s my real interest. My ECs are all in the humanities too. I want to major in Econ.

These are some of the classes I’m taking next year:

AP Econ
AP Stats
Honors Precalculus

Do I come off as a math person? Do you think this is too much math?

Just for the record, Economics is considered to be part of the social sciences, not the humanities. Also, you will need lots of math to major in econ so your current classes will benefit you, not hurt you. Don’t worry about it.

I don’t think it matters what you come off as. Focus on demonstrating your interest in econ.

Oh that’s what I meant actually, guess I just used the wrong term. I mean social sciences/social studies instead of humanities. Thanks.

Econ can potentially have tons of math. It can involve lots of theory. I wouldn’t really worry about how you come off. I definitely agree with lebronfor2008mvp.
