Do I even have a chance for engineering RD (bad SAT I)?

Hi everyone. I’m a senior who’ve just been to USA for a year (Studied in Chinese speaking school before, but I’m US citizen though). My CR is pretty low… do I even have a chance with this status…?

SAT I:

Math 800 CR 520 WR 630 Essay 12
1950/2400
1320/1600

SAT II:

Math II 800
Physics 780
Chemistry 730

AP:

Calculus BC 5
Calculus AB sub 5
Physics C Mechanics 4
Physics C E&M 5
Chemistry 5

GPA (Since APs are all self-studied, won’t shown on transcript. I’ve explained it in additional information):

UW 3.81, school don’t do weight and rank

Senior (college classes are not shown in high school transcript, but explained in additional information and has sent the college transcript for the 1st term):

AP Biology
Micro Computer Hardware
Computer Science I (grade has come out, A)/II
Data Structures
Computer Systems
Programming Systems
Discrete Structures I/II
Electrical Circuits I/II/III
Introduction to Electrical Engineering
Electromagnetism I/II
Calculus IV (multivariable, grade has come out, A)
Differential Equations
Introduction to Linear Algebra
Advanced Calculus (not AP Calculus, it’s analysis class)
Number Theory
Partial Differential Equations
Discrete Mathematics
Introduction to Modern Physics (grade has come out, A)

EC:

Violin: 11 years
Violin: Oregon State Orchestra
Violin: School Orchestra Concert Master
Violin: State Qualified
Violin: Champions of two counties
(I write them all in one section on common app…)
Math Club President
Computer Club President: went to national competition
Science Club

Volunteer 500hr+
Math Private Tutor w Paid
Competitive University electrical engineering & IT Summer Program

Essay: Special

I also explained the education system and its preference of my country in additional information (I’m in PR 97-99 high school (we have examination like high school version SAT). The highest grade my school is 8X, which is B; top 25%'s average is C)

I think you are a good candidate for Engineering. Your CR is a big blemish, but since you studied chinese or are chinese, the admissions will not hold the CR against you too much, but I don’t know.

But otherwise, you CLEARLY show your competency in math and science, with top match and science scores, 5 in AP CAlculus, chemistry, and physics (and 1 4), good GPA, and taking math and science classes beyond the majority of high schools. With a really good essay, I think you will be pretty competitive.

You have a fair / above average chance because of your circumstances.
