Do I even stand a chance at Transfer Admissions for Cornell University?

Basically, I applied to Cornell during senior year and I did not get in; however, I am hopeful that maybe this time around I can get in. Do I stand a chance at all?

HS GPA UW: 3.8ish
HS GPA Weighted: 4.35

Any advice

Of course you have a chance. I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in. Good luck.

Did you complete all of the College of Engineering’s MechE prerequisite courses required for junior standing? If so, you are competitive, but understand the engineering transfer acceptance rate is between 5 and 8%.

@Transfer1011‌ Alright thanks! Best of luck to you as well

@roonayyy10‌ I was able to complete everything except 1 course because it is not offered at my University as a course that Mechanical Engineering Majors would be able to take

I’d say you’re competitive, but so are most people who bother to apply to Cornell. People who say that they’d be “surprised if you don’t get in” fail to realize that Cornell turns down many, many 4.0 students with stellar applications. Only the admissions committee knows who’s going to get in. That being said, I would apply if I were you, you appear to have as much of a chance as anybody else.

@shockastrika83‌ Alright thanks!
