Do I have a better shot at Georgetown or NYU?

Obviously these are both big reaches for me, but I want to apply to one as a reach for me (I don’t have any big reaches on my list). Which one do I stand a better shot at getting into?

3.55-3.6 UW/3.65 W GPA
30 ACT
From Nebraska
Male, Caucasian
School doesn’t report ranks
Jesuit high school
Business major

well i cant see why you wont apply to both… but ur GPA hurts you pretty badly… plus it depends on ur major too…

i would also just apply to both? but if i had to say, i’d say NYU.

My parents will only finance one application, because their $65 each. This is on top of all my other applications, that’s why.

I know that these two are likely huge reaches, but I was trying to figure out which one is, erm… “less reachy”.

NYU would be your better chance, even though it still is a slight reach.

^yeap. (10char)

NYU would be slightly easier to get into than Georgetown. HOWEVER, NYU is notoriously bad for financial aid (and I believe total costs at NYU are higher). If $65 is a factor then apply to Georgetown not NYU.

Georgetown is a higher reach for you, I’d say apply to NYU. And if you do- do’nt apply for Stern or anything, apply for CAS because its easier to get in to.

Application fee waiver?

Not poor enough. But on top of several hundred dollars of application fees, it begins to add up.
