<p>I’m applying for the Upper year (repeat 11th grade). I’ve had a lot of mental problems (depression) and right now I’m out of school for that.
I took a practice SAT and got a 2040. My grades in school aren’t superb, but I take tests well and usually all my exam grades are 90% or above.
My english teachers have told me that I write great essays, express myself very well. I think I can write good essays for the application as well as ace the interview. It’s just that I don’t have an amazing school transcript nor do I do many extracurriculars.
Also, I’m a female asian and I need full financial aid. Plus, I’m an alien (no greencard).
Do I stand a chance? Is there anything I can do to look more attractive to the admissions office?</p>
