Do I have a chance at any college?

Okay, I’m a high school senior and my cumulitive average is not so great. Honestly I took the SAT’s once and did crappy, I didnt study at all and two hours into the tes I got bored soo much t i put anything. Seriously! I took the SAT’s in June of 2008, and I was going to take it in January 24th 2009 by I missed the early and late deadline. The SAT score was my only way into even get colleges to even look at my app. Is there any way in taking the SAT in March 14 and getting accepted to a decent college? I need help, I dont want to get stuck in community college or even the crappy ones. Like if i have good SAT score is there any chance? Or is there any chance getting accepted despite early deadlines of most colleges?
Please give me some advice, I don’t want to waste my life.

I think numbers would help people see, it really depends what your definition of ‘crappy’ is.

You can go to the SAT site the day of testing with a check in hand and if they have room you can test on that day. They will likely have room for you. Go see your schools guidance office on Monday.

You definitely would not be wasting your life by attending a community college if you gave the classes full and complete effort. Do well there and you can transfer somewhere better.

A student who cannot focus on the SAT enough to give a credible effort may not be ready for college at any level. You may need medical attention. Do you think you might have found the SAT too hard and rationalized giving up? This is an issue for a professional to help you resolve.

If you use drugs, be aware that marijuana destroys focus and ambition in many individuals. It is not nearly as harmless as many advocates claim. Non-toxic is not the same as harmless.

A life without college does equate to a “wasted” life.

Attending CC is easy, I want to find other alternatives. Im a 80+ student, I have social anxiety disorder which makes me diverted from asking teachers questions or even the simple thing of raising my hand. Which explains my idiosyncratic ways which lead me to miss the SAT deadlines. I don’t have focus issues nor do I take drugs. Its just at the time I wasn’t very serious with the test. The SAT is not hard, lets put it this way if you don’t know whats in the box how will you tell others whats inside?

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to reply.
Its because of you guys on the net, people like me can be well informed.

SAT optional schools

Smoking weed destroys focus and ambition? Go **** yourself. The op didn’t even mention anything about bud and you make that kind of assumption? Maybe you need some education bigg, before you post.

What did you get on the SAT that you took? (maybe it wasn’t really that bad) Have you applied to any schools at all for next year? The deadlines for most of the selective schools were in January. A few have deadlines in February that you could still make. And then other schools take applications on a rolling basis until they get filled up. Waiting until March to apply will leave you with very few choices.

Why don’t you give us a full profile on yourself like people do on those chances threads and then we can make some specific suggestions. We would need to know your location preferences, if you qualify for financial aid or what you are budgeting for college, what you interests are as far as majors, what size of school you are looking at, etc. I’m not very familiar with the disorder you mentioned but will that affect what type of school you are looking for?

well. depends on your definition of “crappy”.

just show up at the test site and they will giv u a spot if theres room which there probably will be. go to a small testing site.

yeah dude…it all depends on ur #ers… if ur numbers are (at the very leaset) a little below average…i think ull b fine cuz u have the disorder. And big thats just uncalled 4 man.
