Do I have a chance at CAS?

It’s a dream to get into CAS, but a few things are bothering me.

I’m a GED student, and I didn’t take my SAT. I’m currently in a community college doing my 2nd semester. At the moment my major is Liberal Arts, though I will change it to Middle Eastern and Islamic studies if I get into CAS.

My GPA is 3.83. I can read, write, and speak Urdu, and Arabic. I can speak in Bengali and Hindi as well, know a little Persian, and am currently taking Spanish. I studied at a private Islamic school abroad for 6 years, getting an equivalent of a ‘Bachelors’.

I hope to be college professor one day, teaching Islamic studies.

I’m sure I am lacking quite a few things to be even considered, though I’d appreciate it if someone can point them out.

Are you transferring to CAS or are you applying at a freshman? Maybe your college credits could substitute for your lack of standardized testing; but I suggest you speak with NYU officials for a proper answer.

I’m transfering actually. Thank you.
