<p>Math Team, Varsity Team, two years, parliamentarian, (btw my schools math team has always placed 1st or 2nd in Mu alpha theta, national math tourny. Basically we are the best =))

Tennis 6 years, shoulder issues so I had to quit, Freshmen year I was the number one boys tennis player on a private team in Alabama
Spirit of America, Vice President, Sergeant of Arms, Very Very Very active in the club, organized many projects, Four years, started Operation Shoe Box to a good friend who is going to Iraq
Youth leadership, 3 years, I got picked to be in the organization
Founder President and one out of the eight team captains of ULTIMATE FRISBEE LEAGUE!!! I was elected by my peers to be a captain, I was able to get 70-100 students to sign up
Piano since i was 6
Guitar started junior year
Volunteering at a genetics research department (i did research and experiments)
Starting third grade to ninth grade my parents owned a Chinese restaurant, i would work and learn there</p>

<p>My grades went down hill sophomore year that was when my dad suffered a heart attack. Both of my parents have heart problems. My mom also has major lung issues. Ended up taking care of them</p>

<p>… please be honest… what I’m really concerned about is my grades… they suck really hard…</p>

<p>For regular admissions, recs don’t matter. Your GPA and SAT are the most important thing. Since you haven’t really provided an SAT score and your GPA is a 3.26, I can only say that at this point your chances are a little on the low side. Your EC’s and courseload seem good though. Just make sure you score well on the SAT/ACT.</p>

<p>Also, out of the 400 students I was the only person to take AP Bio and Honors Pre-Cal Junior Year (AP Bio and Honors Pre-Cal are the hardest classes you can take at my school)</p>

<p>Your grade point is refigured by Tech. Your grade is lifted 1/2 letter grade for honors and gifted courses - except if you have an A - then it just sits there. It is also lifted 1/2 or 1 for AP courses. So don’t count yourself out on grade point yet.</p>

<p>Hopefully, you can lift up your GPA. I’m from AL, too. You must be from Vestavia if you are bragging about your math team.
It would really be a shame if GA Tech denied you because of your GPA because everything else looks solid +.
I’m sure weighted, your GPA will look better.
