Do I have a chance to get accepted to Cornell ED?

  • 96.83 GPA (Valedictorian out of 252 students)
  • 1370 SAT :(
  • All AP classes by the time I graduate: World history, US history, Gov, Calc AB, Bio, English Language, and Literature
  • South Asian Female
  • First generation
  • Undocumented
  • Student Council since freshman year
  • ARISTA Honors Society(community service) since sophomore year
  • Marching band in sophomore year
  • Senior Committee
  • Worked under NYC Department of Education at my school's college office as a Youth Leader to help seniors with their college application process since junior year

I know my resume isn’t too impressive and SAT score isn’t very high, but I am curious to find out what people will think my chances are.

What is your intended major? AP Test score? Any SAT subject tests?

One of my seniors applied to Cornell on Early Decision and got in. His resume was very impressive, but what struck me most was that it was very cohesive too. He clearly only did things he was passionate about. Your GPA is amazing. But that SAT score needs to come up. Also, if you have done anything very specific as part of the student council or senior committee, that would literally multiply your chances.

Overall though, I think your resume is good though.
