do i have a chance?

university of maryland (college park)
university of delaware
binghamton university
northeastern university
university of michigan
university of virginia

i am planning on transferring colleges for spring 2013 (it would be my 2nd semester of sophomore year). at my current 4 year college, which is less prestigious than the ones i have mentioned, i have a 3.8 gpa from my freshman year. i have good extracurriculars. i am a health science major and plan to continue with that. i don’t need any financial aid.

i am a new york state resident, but even though binghamton is in ny, it is extremely hard to get into.

also, do you think i have a shot at getting into the ivy leagues? if so, which ones?

Those public schools are going to be difficult to get into, since you are out-of-state. You may as well try though. I think you’ll get into at least three of the schools on your list (Binghamton, Maryland and Delaware) while the remaining three might be more of a stretch.

As for the Ivy League… yeah, everyone has a chance, but the chance is very small. Again, you may as well try, since you have good grades. May as well use them for all they are worth.
