<p>Apply ED if it is your first choice and no financial constraints. You definitely have a good chance either way.</p>
<p>HAHA, legacy… that’s the BEST apply ed/rd u’d have a great shot either way, stay away for engineering!!! GRRR</p>
<p>i have heard legacy is EXTREMElY helpful ED & has little impact RD. But good shots even w/o legacy.</p>
<p>i heard that too… okay, just wondering-- my friend applied ED to penn and got accepted… later, he got accepted to duke RD, and is now going to duke? how was he able to do this? and i saw his letters, so i know he wasnt making this up</p>
<p>if this kid goes to your school and doesn’t have huge financial needs you might be screwed - or he might be faking his papers</p>

<p>how big of a difference is it between applying RD v. ED… if you were to guess, what would be my chance for each? would it be like 60 v 20 or like… 35 v 30 ?</p>

<p>umm… i didn’t want them to add up to 100%… i was saying in terms of acceptance, i.e. 60% chance ED/ 20% chance RD vs a much closer percent… i was just wondering how much ed helped legacys…</p>
