<p>Hi,
I will be a senior this school year and am trying my best to find a way for me to get a scholarship. I’ve worked really hard throughout my high school years. Below is a rough sketch of my stats:</p>
<p>Freshman Year 2010-2011 School Year
Participated as a volunteer in the annual Child Abuse Prevention Assoc (CAPA) golf tournament, a weekend long golf tournament.Participated for the full two weekends of the event as a volunteer in the annual CAPA Ghost Tours in downtown Beaufort, SC which was the largest fundraiser each year for CAPA

<p>Trunk or Treat
Went to numerous stores to purchase candy and decorations, decorated the car trunk, purchased a “Halloween” CD for ambiance, manned the Trunk or Treat, gave out candy during the entire event, and provided a safe environment for children to trick or treat
Participated in DECA Regional Competition (I don’t remember what event I participated in, but I believe it may have been Hotel Management).
Played a fundamental and instrumental role in planning and executing the “now annual” Bobcat’s Got Talent talent show to raise money for DECA
Brainstormed and came up with the idea of a talent show
Campaigned and advertised for contestants, spectators and sponsors
Held open calls for talent and served as a preliminary judge
Set up schedule of events for contestants and dress rehearsals
Procured pillars of the community, including Mayor and Principal, to be judges
Placed 3rd in the Partner Competition
Went to Nationals to compete at the International DECA Conference in Salt Lake City, UT.
Presented information and a speech to the School Board to secure full funding for the DECA trip to Nationals for the five finalists at Bluffton High School</p>

<p>Senor year so far I have volunteered twice a week at the local food pantry, have put on several fund raisers for them, volunteer at the local state park, and intent to become involved with mentoring middleschool girls through a program called Girltalk. </p>
<p>ACT:
I have a 29 composite so far with a 36 in the Reading and A superscored 30. I intent to take it again to get a superscored 31 (UGA superscores). I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a weighted 4.5. Next yr I will take all dual enrolled classes.</p>
<p>Here is the UGA scholarship I am wanting. Please tell me what you think my chances are.</p>
