if UMCane stats has better stats than johnnytremain then he isnt appealing because he doesnt want to, not because hes not justified, because i strongly believe he would be justified. does anybody ever wonder if the admissions office recognized people who do more than just a simple phone call to appeal and go the extra mile in effort to try to get in. honestly, and not saying this because im appealing, but if i were an admissions officer and i had some student who would persist, persist, and persist about getting accepted and he was qualified (by that i mean hes not 3.0gpa 1000 sat) then it would show me it is somebody who really wants to be at my school, probably more than quite a few other people.

Really they only appeal a decison if you have something new like a new test score or something similar, they most likely will just tell you that there were many qualified applicants this year and not everyone was going to be admitted

johnnytremain - I don’t know what does and doesn’t make for a strong appeal, but I think it is a shame that a student with your record was not admitted. Good luck to you.

We just watched that in Psychology. Haha. The funny thing is that all Shaun needed to do was get an appeal for his messed up transcript. But for the purposes of holywoodizing the situation, he makes the trip with his drugged brother. Hilarious.

yes,
I emailed the assistant director of admissions and told me that starting March 3, there would be appeal forms ready and late march, there would be reviewings of the appeals.
Hahaha, i was just thinking and relating to the movie Orange County.

Hey, I didn’t take the SAT, I only took the ACT once since UF accepts either and I found my score satisfactory even though I might have been able to do a little bit better if I took it a 2nd time.
