hello,
I really want to get your opinion about if I have a good chance to get a Full-funded scholarship to study physics in USA or UK.
first of all, I’m an international student from Egypt and I’m currently in my first year of majoring physics ,also i’m not student who gets As in all subjects my GPA so far is 2.5 because I failed in one of the subjects that worth 3 credit hours but not because I’m bad at the subject it is just because I couldn’t attend the final exam for a very stupid reason that I don’t want to talk about.
I still have the chance to raise my GPA to 3.5 by doing well in this semester.
my achievements outside the college are not that great but I hope they are sufficient.
1- I learned 3D modeling by using online courses and videos on youtube and then worked as a 3D artist with a small team that was working on a video game.
2- when I was 13 years old I went to a place where we learn about planes motors, solar energy, and robotics and there they trained me to do a lot of work with electric circuits and robot programming(i know that it is not even worth it to talk about because that was long time ago).
3- when I was in high school I took some courses in c++ and tried to use it to program video games, I also made a very simple video game using Unreal engine 4.
4- in 2016 I started to work as a Tech reviewer (which is currently my job ) I worked on our website and I wrote articles and news, I also wrote some video scripts and helped to grow up the youtube channel.( we are called the Tech crew and our job is to make content about Tech (videos, articles, and news) we deal with big companies like Nvidia, AMD, Gigabyte, Corsair and other companies that produce computer hardware, so they send us samples to review it)
5- I study a lot of physics and I study a lot of topics that is higher than my level like the special theory of relativity which I’m supposed to take in the college next year and other topics in cosmology like the black holes and some other topics in particle physics but not with mathematics because I don’t have the mathematical background required to deal with particle physics math.
6- I took a course in cosmology(introduction to modern cosmology) where I learned a lot about the expansion of the universe and now I have the ability to prove that the universe is expanding by using math and not words only ( i have a certification for it from my university( Alexandria University)).
7- I modeled a phenomenon that is related to light by using mathematics( differential equations and calculus) and the results from the observations( i thought that I discovered something new but at the end, I discovered that this phenomenon is called the stroboscopic effect).
I don’t know if all these things are even considered as achievements so I want your opinion about it.
