break 2000 on sats and you have a good shot
i had similar grades except slightly higher uc gpa and 2060 on sat with only music related extracurriculars

right now, you have a good shot, if you break 2000 and get 2 SATIIs over 730, then you’ll have a extremely high chance to get in.

You have a solid chance at getting in. Like what these people have said, breaking 2000 may just carry you all the way in. But don’t worry too much if you don’t break 2000. I know it’s very difficult to improve on the SAT. In my opinion, it’s highly unlikely to improve by 200-300 points, unless something drastically changes (new tutor, different study habits etc.) You definitely have great grades. Extracurriculars are good also. All I can say is keep up the hard work for senior year, and study for the SATs. I got in with a score of <1800, so it’s not over if SATs aren’t great. My SAT teacher said that it’s better for you to focus on realistic goals, like improving from a 1710 –> 1780/1800. A lot of people get 1700s the first time around and then instantly want to improve, so they end up doing ALL the questions (you need to answer/attempt almost everything to get 2000+), when most of them should’ve left some blank instead of blindly guessing with hopes of getting more than 2000. People who want to make a jump of a 200-300 points end up with lower scores. Just keep that in mind, if you’re taking the test again. Good luck. I’d be pretty confident with your application!

FYI: Buy CrashCourse for the US history test. It’s great for review. I used it for my APUSH exam (got a 5), and the SAT 2s (got a 720).

thank you guys for replying!

you’re pretty good, just get that SAT up at least around the high 1700s or 1800 : )

Or be good, get into top 4% of you graduating class and get automatic acceptance.
