<p>I want to apply to Purdue, UCLA, and my reach school is MIT.</p>

<p>My class rank is 3 out of 300 (or so).</p>

<p>my gpa (unweighted) is somewhere in between 3.85 and 3.9
my weighted gpa is somewhere well above 4</p>

<p>my SAT scores, (retaking for sure)</p>

<p>took them the same week as my aps so they suck</p>

<p>m - 670
cr - 680</p>

<p>My extracirculars are jazz band, pep band, science club, science olympiad, i volunteer a few hours a week at an old people’s home, chess club, french club, and yearbook, i’ve been playing tenor sax for eight years and have gone to some festivals, i placed in the top five percent in a chem competition and am going back soon for (what ever the next level is), looking to get my novel published</p>

<p>I am in national honor society and am always on honor roll</p>

<p>took APUSH, APCHEM, AP Mirco, and will take ap english and ap calc next year.</p>

<p>I take the hardest classes at my school</p>

Do you live in Cali? Cause if you do then UCLA is a match but if you dont its a reach
MIT is a huge reach</p>

<p>For MIT, is that because of my test scores, or just overrall no chance?
What would be a good safety school if I am going into engineering (either chemical or aeronautics)?</p>

<p>There’s always a chance… except at MIT. Nobody has a chance there.</p>

<p>But really, the chem competition looks good. Will you have done the second comp. by the time you apply? I’m sure your participation in that will give you some points.
