I have a learning disability and I never took many advanced classes. Highest were Trig. For math Bio. For science and I’ve never taken physics, or any other related classes. I was a “techer” I have history in plumbing and RHVAC. I’ve always enjoyed math and science and to rip stuff apart to see what makes it work. Now my question to you is do you believe I have a shot to go and get this degree ontop of my Associates for RHVAC. Any advice before going. Is it worth the time work and money?
If you are in a community college right now, try taking the following courses, if available, to gauge your interest and ability in the subject:
math: calculus 1, 2; multivariable calculus; linear algebra; differential equations
physics: physics 1 (usually mechanics), 2 (usually electricity and magnetism) for engineering majors (requires calculus)
frosh/soph engineering courses: often including computing for engineering, statics, thermodynamics, etc.
The state universities often have articulation agreements which will show you which community college courses you need to take to transfer to the universities in mechanical engineering.
Thank you so very much for some classes I can’t seem to get any info from schools.
