Your grades and extracurriculars seem quite strong to me, and I would most definitely recommend submitting supplementary materials in your application for Yale because of your musical abilities.

Unlike many of the other Ivy Leagues, Yale is very artsy and loves students who are passionate about their musical or other art skills.

Try and do some community service as well - they love that.

well my June writing was 770 so that bumps me up to 2180 superscored
additionally, I’m now a national finalist for the Samsung American Legion Scholarship and I got like 40 more hours of community service

Now I guess my question is over whether I should apply early to Yale. I know it’s a long shot but I think I could write a really outstanding essay and do well with the supplement. Are the majority deferred or do they usually give you an accept/deny for SCEA?
