I think so :)

i almost have your exact stats. same SAT with same breakup, actually. i think you definitely have a shot, but it’s not huge. i applied ed to cornell and got flat out rejected. also applied to bc, but rd. applied to washu rd likewise. good luck.

Your GPA is great, but I fear that your standardized test scores may send the message that your school simply isn’t very difficult, a message which would drastically reduce any impact your high GPA may have made. Also, with your ECs, you’re doing good things, but you don’t hold any real leadership positions and that lacking will likely hurt you.

I know it isn’t what you’re looking to hear, but I think that particularly in light of your deferral, you’re looking at a very long shot.

We all must remember that, according to the US News, WashU is 6 on selectivity, ranking above Stanford. If you asked people “Will I get into Standford,” I think the answer would be a resounding, “no.” Though it doesnt have the brand recognition of a Stanford, WashU is quite hard to get into.

Best of luck to you!

Well I figured I would try my own ‘do I have a shot’ message: (hope you don’t mind that I am not making a whole new topic UPDOWN; if you do lemme know and I’ll remove this one)

I feel as though I pale in comparison to all of you! lol :)

updown - i almost have your exact stats. same SAT with same breakup, actually. i think you definitely have a shot, but it’s not huge. i applied ed to cornell and got flat out rejected. also applied to bc, but rd. applied to washu rd likewise (keeping my outlook realistic so im not disappointed). good luck.

I believe you have Alzheimer’s disease, Holden.

Please report to the nearest physician in your vicinity.

Thank you.

^ I think he might have accidentally submitted twice and the server issuse may have caused his message to be delayed. Anyway, to the OP, I have almost exactly the same stats as you too, except different extracurriculars of course. In this sense, I certainly hope you have a shot!

Haha… I was just kidding…

But if you look closely, the two messages aren’t the same.

The second one is longer…

ya the server was all messed up. is that not obvious? i changed the post a little after it said the first post failed. everybody’s a comedian.
