I am just going to say no. As long as you met your school’s requirements, I would think the majority of schools would look past it but… with a good explanation which your high school counselor can write up with your and your parents help. I wouldn’t dismiss the “Why “of it. It’s important and how it affects your application. Many student’s learn to handle adversity. If handled correctly, I think it can actually strengthen your application.
But if you’re asking about getting into any T20 in your field it’s a guessing game with the amount of applications schools get these days. As stated have saftiess that you more or less know you will be accepted and probably your state school would be one.
Take the above advice. As long as you applied appropriately. You should be fine.
