So I was planning on taking the October ACT (I would take the Sept., but my guidance counselor signs students up for standardized tests, so gotta wait till Sept for her to do that). BUT I wanna apply to Binghamton U early decision. The deadline for that is November 15. That gives me 4 weeks to get my ACT results and send them in to admissions officers. Do you guys thing my scores will be out in 4 or less weeks?
@loveyounot This is the link for ACT results. http://www.actstudent.org/scores/viewing-scores.html
You can see on their website that the October 2015 test results will be out on November 10th, before your Binghamton’s application is due. However, it is not guaranteed (I got my scores about 3 days later than the deadline and it is possible to receive them even later). What I would suggest is taking the ACT in October and studying a ton between now and then. If you don’t get your scores back in time, not the end of the world, just apply regular decision. If you do get your scores back in time then you can apply early decision OR you have the choice of applying regular decision if you are not happy with your scores from October, because you could retake it in September if you think having even higher scores will really affect your admission chances. (If you can’t raise your score by at least 2 points from October to September, then it is not worth taking it again because it likely wouldn’t affect your admission and you may as well just apply early decision.) Hope this helped
October to September?
I think it’d be more wise to take it in September, but I don’t know if i’m ready. Taking it in October would be better for me, but it’s a bit risky. I don’t think (thinking optimistically) that I’ll get my scores 5+ days later. But then again, idk. Im worrying.
