Do I have to have a 3.3 gpa as an OOS to be accepted at any Cal state school?

I am wondering if this is a strict guideline that is adhered to for all OOS applicants to the CSU system? Didn’t know if the formula for acceptance for their student base from other states, would allow this to balance their admissions diversity. I would imagine the OOS tuition would be welcome, but I also imagine the competition for a spot is fierce, regardless. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

The only difference for OOS applicants in the Cal State system, is the required Eligiblity index is slightly higher.

Competition for the top rated Cal States such as Cal Poly SLO, Cal State Long Beach, San Diego State would be “fierce” however; there are 23 Cal States and many such as San Marcos, Channel Islands, Monterey are not impacted and easier to get an acceptance. Do some research on which Cal States you would be interested in applying. Not all Cal States are created equal.
