I’m from CA, and I know that for UCs you have to keep a minimum GPA of 3.0 weighted (unweighted for UCLA and Berkeley) per semester in my senior year. Is there any such rule for Tech?

bump? (10 char)

There is, but it’s pretty lenient.

[Georgia Tech: Registrar: Students: Academic Standing](Academic Standing | Registrar's Office | Georgia Tech)

Hope that helps.

I meant senior year in high school, not at tech, lol. Oh well, that info helps a lil bit too I guess (such low gpas?).

Could anyone answer my original question? :(

bump. This is kinda important…how low of a gpa do you need for them to revoke your acceptance?

does it really matter?

shouldn’t you have some kind of intrinsic motivation aside from colleges rescinding your admission to keep your GPA up?

That’s true, but senioritis kicks in man.

Anyways, I’m really just worried about one class. I’m pretty sure I won’t get a C in it but just in case, y’a know…

I seriously doubt a C will get you rejected as long as it’s the only C.
I would only start worrying if you might be in the run to get a D.

It is hard to say. It all depends how closely they look at them. I would say that if your GPA drops a whole point, or you get 2 or more C’s then you should worry. A (D or below) and you are screwed. They may not even check everyone, who knows.
