I got an acceptance to the ScM program but it was unclear whether I had to pay for tuition. They said that scholarships were not offered in the first year. If I do have to pay then 41K a year is really expensive… Anyone know if it was worth it?

I got accepted into a PhD program that will pay me 23k a year but its nowhere near the size of JHU and its program.

Unless they tell you that they are giving you money/funding for your Master’s, then yes, you will have to pay for it. Yes, it is a lot…you need to balance the potential salary you may achieve upon completion vs. how much you will pay or accumulate in debt.

Many people will say that if you are contemplating a PhD to go for it instead of going for the Master’s then PhD. (For funding purposes and because many Master’s credits do not count toward the PhD. - depends on the program.)
