<p>There is a space in the Common App to list my EC’s but does it say anywhere on the application or supplement that I have to send a resume? I don’t really know about it. Does the resume affect my chances?</p>
<p>There is no need to send a resume; however, many people send one if they need more space to list awards/accomplishments, describe the activity, or just list more ECs.</p>

<p>if you do decide to send, don’t send a resume. instead copy out the common app EC section format and fill it in. admissions officers are comfortable with a common format and they get very distracted when they have to translate your resume into that format.</p>
