Do I Have to Send AP scores?

Hey Guys,
I already know where I am going next fall (I am a freshman). And I took like 3 AP classes in high school and just got my results back. My major is engineering and I already know what classes to take and what not.
The ap classes that I have taken DON’T BENEFIT ME AT ALL.

  1. AP Enviromental Science- My curriculum says I have to take Bio. So having the score, doesn’t help me since I can’t “skip a class/ Ge- field”
  2. AP Stats- I have to take about 6 more math quarters and classes. Having AP Stats again does help me fulfill the requirement and therefore doesn’t contribute anything for going faster in college.

Eventually all my scores this year were not beneficial at all and I know it is my fault. But I kind of decided the school and major last minute. SO MY QUESTION: Do I still need to report the scores (passed all with 4 and 5). IF I know that it won’t benefit me ?

You should check with your school’s admissions office, but you generally aren’t required to submit AP scores.

I agree with @saif235: Check to see if AP scores need to be sent. Regardless if the AP exam scores do not benefit you for opting out of some your major classes, you may still get some elective credit which could help you with GE’s or move your class registration priority up (if based on units earned).
