Is anyone who has upgraded to Windows 10 using the “personal assistant,” Cortana? I’m hard-pressed to understand why I might want to, but maybe I’m missing something.
I just got a new laptop, which of course uses 10. It really doesn’t bother me. Much less obtrusive than 8. Tiles but discretely so, and can be manipulated away. Dont have to look all over for the Control Panel, for instance.
I may take the plunge and update my desktop, which has 8.1. As I think I said above, I’m a little worried about the Dropbox connectivity, which has been reported as a problem for some users, but I think I’m ready to take the chance now. Will probably do it this week.
I turned Cortana off at set up.
I got a new desktop on Monday. Computer Guy asked, and I told him to go ahead and put 10 on it. He installed it so that my desktop looks similar to the XP appearance. Works well for me so far.
