Do I have too many extracurriculars for colleges to think I'm not serious

I’m in a lot of sports and clubs at school
Varsity Soccer
Indoor Track
Outdoor Track
Swimming
Reading Club- President
Environmental club- Vice President
Orchestra
Play
Journalism
is this too much for colleges to see my extracurriculars

No. It’s fine.

Most colleges give little or no weight to to EC’s. If you’re wondering how the most selective colleges will view this then keep in mind they want to see more than just member of this or that. They want to see evidence of achievement and/or leadership. Look at the sticky on the top of the chances forum and you can see a discussion of what competitive EC’s look like at very selective colleges

Actually, look at the Common Data Set in section C7 to see what weight the college places on ECs.
Just make sure that you know that GPA and SAT/ACT are “most important” and ECs would just be important.

No, it is fine.

EC’s won’t compensate for mediocre transcript and test scores. However, at some of the super selective schools, because so many applicants have nearly identical stellar transcripts and test scores, the EC become de facto tie breakers. You don’t have too many EC’s, but it’s not clear how substantive your roles were in the ECs. Quality matters more than quantity of ECs. AO’s are capable at distinguishing between resume-padding ECs and those of substantive commitment from the applicant.
