Do I have what it take to get into MIT?

<p>My name is Jack-Henry I am 17 and about to be a senior in high school. I should graduate with about a 3.5 total GPA a 4.0 my senior year. My senior year is hard with two math, two science, two business and so on, 30-33 on ACT. I have been VP of my class twice now, I am a team leader of two team in a school program called “B.E.S.T” and we have gone to nationals every year I have been in the program. (all 4 years) I co-founded a nonprofit organization in which we do volunteer work to build things in the community. I have been wanting to go to MIT for as long as I can remember, I believe I can do it but I would like some feed back. </p>

<p>MIT focuses alot on fit</p>

<p>3.5GPA doesn’t make you a viable candidate IMHO. MIT wants proven scholars given its super competitive pool. You don’t need to be a 4.0 or the val but you have to be clearly recognized as one of your school’s top academics – known widely by your teachers and admins.</p>
