<p>so my application - essays and recommendations and all - show that i am a hardworking and genuine student, but there seems to be no apparent dream or goal i have in mind…</p>

<p>my activities are full of music but i’m not going to take a music major</p>

<p>im applying to duke</p>

<p>i have potential tho!</p>

<p>in what field, i’m not even sure myself</p>

<p>Your application doesn’t need to, and isn’t expected to, reflect any lifelong career goals. Instead, it just should show that you have some passion (music) that you dedicated your spare time to.</p>

<p>I know the ED decision date has passed. If you applied ED, I hope it went well.</p>
