Do I move to NYC during or after Grad school?

I’m planning on attending an OT grad school after my bachelors. I love New York (I moved from there in tenth grade). Generally, Do you think it will be better for me to move there for grad school and attend in NYC , or stay where I am (Florida) and complete grad school, then move to New York?

Well, it depends.

If you get significant funding that allows you to move there during graduate school, then it’d be okay to move there for graduate school.

But if you are a current Florida resident, it would probably be far cheaper for you to stay in Florida and become an OT there, then move to New York to find employment afterwards.

Are there differences in state licensing? That would be a reason to study in the state where you want to begin your career.

Are both options affordable? Have you been accepted to programs in both locations already?
