<p>I was wondering exactly what happens in the department ceremonies after the big one in kenan stadium. I’m double majoring so it would awkwardly take up the whole day waiting in between for the two department ceremonies.</p>
<p>I don’t know about all departments, but in many there are awards to be handed out, sometimes a speech by a graduating senior and/or a faculty member or guest. There’s usually a reception, so faculty and students and parents get to meet and mingle. It’s MUCH more intimate than the Kenan ceremony and, from my experience, definitely worth attending if you can fit one (or both) in.</p>
