<p>I recently was accepted to UPitt in the physical therapy program and was also accepted into the honors college. I have decided I no longer want to do physical therapy. To switch majors do I need to reapply or can I just transfer over? Will it effect my status in the honors college? </p>

<p>Since you’re switching schools, you won’t need to reapply to Pitt, but you will have to inform the engineering school that you want to be considered. Ultimately, it’ll be as if you are reapplying to Pitt through Engineering because they will re-look at your stats as an Engineering student. (I believe this is the case even if you were to switch a semester or later into your time at Pitt).</p>
<p>Switching majors doesn’t change your Honors College status, though. :)</p>
<p>I think there is also an additional essay required for the engineering school. Look into this and get it in ASAP if that is the case, but yes, definitely contact the school with the intent to change.</p>

<p>Definitely isn’t unless it’s changed. I just submitted all my CommonApp information as my Pitt App.</p>
