Hi, I am a transfer student from a CCC.

According to this page: [University of California - Admissions - The University of California offers one of the broadest ranges of study of any institution of higher learning in the world, all at an affordable price.](<a href=“http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/apply/after_apply/after_transcripts.html]University ”>http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/apply/after_apply/after_transcripts.html )
Some UCs “may request transcripts prior to admission.” Which UCs are these?

if they need it for a special circumstance, they will ask. Other than that, just wait to see where you’re accepted.

Also, do I need to send any college transcripts before I am accepted (or rejected)?

my advisor told me that they e-mail you and ask you to send them, usually in january.

you adviser is wrong, that’s not usual. you apply with your previous grades and plan. you update your fall grades in january. you are accepted by april. you submit your transcript and IGETC certification by the middle of summer (depending on school).
