Do I need to submit inquiry forms?

Hi!

I wasn’t sure if inquiry forms are obligatory? I absolutely don’t mind doing them, but for the ones I have done I’ve gotten a ton of emails which can be annoying, especially since most of the events are at 1 am my time (I understand they can’t accommodate everybody, however since I won’t be participating in the events…) do we have to/is it beneficial for us to fill them in?

Thanks!

It is a requirement for most schools to submit inquiry forms - whether to access your applicant portal, or to be able to schedule interviews.

Most schools require this. As for the marketing, it’s promotional for sure. But it’s also their way of connecting you with what you’re interested in - live or otherwise. This is key!

You should really be trying to understand as much as you can about the schools that have initially caught your eye. Overall, the academics are great at most of them. But they aren’t all the same by any stretch of the imagination.

The emails they are sending might be annoying but if I were you I’d be reading them so that you can personalize your essays to each school. Those emails, taken together, should give you a fairly good understanding of the school culture.

Now having done the forms I definitely see this, they are highlighting what they consider to be their best qualities, so it’s a good idea for me to highlight this in my essays…thank you!
