Do I need to take any test to enter SBCC?

Do I? I am an international student btw

Most community colleges (read: all) require placement testing. Not everyone has an equal background in every subject, especially when it comes to CC. Placement tests are very low-key, done on a computer. The process is very quick. My school uses the COMPASS test which I found extremely accurate, though many are not fans.

http://www.sbcc.edu/counselingcenter/counselingquestions/placementtesting.php

So that means I apply even without a single education background and get in? All I have to do is take the schjool’s placement test?

You may have to submit transcripts. Did you go to high school, or the equivalent?

I didn’t. I had a unique situation where I stayed home and simply wasn’t schooled. I went online and made a transcript like many homeschoolers do to get into community college, i was very honest with my admission counselors, and they didn’t treat it like a big deal at all, and placed me in appropriate cllasses.

I have my ged, an “I” level English pass and 3 “n” level passes.
So you’re saying that even without any education, the cc will accept me? But ill just have to take extra classes?

Not “l” level but “o” level

I’d contact sbcc to see what they require. At our CC, you only need to have a GED and send GED score and transcripts. May also need some placement exams. The best source is always the U you’re interested in attending.

you need to take two placement tests, math and english.
