Do I need to Transfer to better chances of getting into mstp?

I’m starting at Howard University this fall. I want to go into the medical field, more specifically I want to get into the mstp program at a good medical schools. I am going to Howard this fall theres no chance of me changing my plans now, but I’m wondering if my chances of getting into a mstp program at a good med school will be limited because my undergraduate school isn’t one of the best. Should I try and transfer to a better school, i.e. Cornell. I know a million people probaly say this, but Harvard Medical is my dream school, and I dont want to apply as a underrepresented student to be accepted, its kind of important to me that I earn it.

P.S. It’s not all about me getting into Harvard Med, I just have a theory that if you have the credentials that the best school wants then you have what every school below them wants.

No, it won’t be. Stay at Howard if you are happy there. Also, I respect your belief in not wanting to get a leg up, but if you are underrepresented you don’t really have a lot of say about it unless you show up covered completely from head to toe. At the very most, you can decline to put it on your app so that you can at least be confident that your interview did not have a race aspect to it. I would encourage you to use your status tough. Play the cards you were given. Everyone has edges. My dad was a doctor, that was important enough for a lot of applications to ask if I had a physician relative. It gave me an edge on insight and advice.
