Do I qualify for Williams College, Cornell University, TCNJ.... (undergrad)

<p>Hi everyone I am currently applying to several colleges and I was bewildered at the requirements for Williams College. So here are my stats:</p>

<p>SAT I: I’ve taken them twice, and I’m thinking about taking it a third time in January (please tell me if it’s a good idea)</p>

<p>Reading: 650
Math: 650
Writing: 760 (12/12 on essay).
Total: 2060</p>

<p>SAT II:</p>

<p>Taking Bio, Math I, and Writing in January.</p>

<p>GPA: Approx 3.72</p>

<p>APs taken: AP Government and Politics, AP US History 1/2, AP Biology, AP Psychology
APs currently being taken: AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science.</p>

<p>I’m in over 12 extracurricular activities and I have over 100 hours of community service.</p>

<p>My school was ranked #26 in the nation</p>

<p>Please let me know if I qualify for Williams, Cornell, University of Chicago, TCNJ, Drexel, and Penn State.</p>

<p>*I hope to improve my SAT I by at least 200 points once I retake it in January, if it’ll help.</p>

<p>Penn State definately, the sooner the better, it gets tougher. Drexel youre in. Try Cornell, its a high match/reach. Williams and others I dont know anything about.</p>

<p>You can Google Williams common data set (same forr the others) and compare your stats to those who got in last year. It’s much more reliable.</p>

<p>I’ve already googled the “demographics” for my colleges, but I’d like a personal take.</p>

<p>As far as I know, Williams students are 2100+… I don’t know if that completely knocks me out of the competition or not. BTW I’m classified as south asian and hence asian.</p>

<p>Honestly, your chances are real slim for UPenn, Williams, Columbia, Cornell, and UChicago. You definitely have a shot at NYU, but I’m not too sure about that. For all the other schools, I’m positive you’ll get in. Your SATs, right now, aren’t up to par with those of students who were admitted to the likes of Penn, Chicago, Cornell, etc. Your GPAs a bit low. You have time to improve all these things, and when you do, I think you have a fighting chance everywhere.</p>

<p>NYU and Cornell seem like possibilities, but Chicago, UPenn and Columbia would be big reaches for someone with your stats.</p>
