I know my GPA is terrible but do i stand a chance at all? I had a huge upward trend from a 2.5 Freshman year to a 4.1 Senior year. Low income and from a bad neighborhood. Chance me please?

Obviously a reach, but I wouldn’t completely rule you out. Upward trend will help. Possibly spin something interesting about you being “low income and from a bad neighborhood.” Worth a shot; some 4.0s with amazing applications get rejected while other seemingly less-than-stellar applicants get in.

I think you are a very strong applicant; at this point, it’s about framing your application.

If you could write a compelling narrative, perhaps tying in your career goals with your experience (maybe with opportunities/socioeconomic division), you’d do very well.

It should be noted I’m pretty pessimistic.

Everyone has a chance. Do not underestimate “fit”.as this is a big deal for Cornell. Essays are very important. Write your very best ones.
