I am very close to finishing my 2 years at community college, earning an associates degree in biology. I desperately want to attend Cornell University! I am hesitant to apply because of my SAT scores, which are exceptionally low. If my current GPA is a 3.9, do you think I will even be considered as a respectable candidate? — (of course with many other attributes such as volunteer work, awards, involvement in sports )

It depends on the college…but if you will have your associates tdegree the adcom will place less emphasis on your SAT score/high school grades and look more at what you’ve accomplished in college.

You will only know if you apply!

Thank you!! …Before I apply, is there anything I can do to increase my chances of acceptance? Any tips?
