Do I still qualify for UCSD TAG?

<p>I am probably going to get a 2.85 for the fall 2010 semester which brings my cumalitive to 3.08.</p>

<p>Please tell me I am still qualified.</p>

<p>You should be fine as long as your cumulative gpa is over 3.0, and as long as you did not get a “D” or “F” in a course needed to satisfy IGETC. Even then you would be OK, as long as you are repeating the course (or using an equivalent course for IGETC) you got a “D” or “F” in spring.</p>

<p>Ok, so I need a cumulative of over 3.0 through this upcoming spring semester also? I am already done with all IGETC stuff. Just doing major pre-reqs</p>

<p>You are fine. The only GPA that matters is ur cumulative GPA.</p>

<p>Your GPA each semester must be AT LEAST a 2.0… Your OVERALL GPA by the end of each semester MUST be a 3.0 or higher.</p>

<p>Don’t mean to hijack thread but I’m in a similar situation:</p>

<p>Only taking 2 courses a quarter this year because if I take more I would be a senior transfer. Completed IGETC last year, cumulative GPA is like a 3.6 or 3.7. This quarter, I took Global Econ (B+), and Math 1D (4th quarter calculus), and I think I’m going to get a D or F in math 1d (very difficult final obviously). I’m an econ major, and for some reason SD was like the only school that wanted through math 1d as opposed to 1b/1c at most of the other UCs. Do you think this one bad grade will affect me even though its a very challenging class? I got a C in 1C and besides that I have all As and Bs in my IGETC classes/all other major pre-reqs besides math 1d. I’m prepared to retake the class in the summer if need be.</p>

<p>If you plan to transfer during the fall of 2012, the UCSD tag agreement says that you must earn a cumulative 3.5 minimum UC GPA earned by the end of Fall term 2011 and maintained through the end of Spring term 2012.</p>
