If you plan to become an actuary, have passed two exams during undergrad but were unable to secure an internship, how much will this hurt you?

It’ll hurt you but not as much as someone who has never passed an exam. Its actually very surprising that you did not acquire an internship. Are you at an actuarial school like NYU? Recruiters in LA complain that individuals never passed an exam and are trying to secure jobs.

Yes, internships matter for actuaries. But you should still be able to find a job as an actuary without one as long as your GPA is decent. But internship opportunities seem to be everywhere for potential actuaries. So, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one if you are not a senior already.

I’m a junior, and plan on taking the first exam this summer. I came on kind of late in my academic career to wanting to be an actuary.
