Is it like Georgetown where they basically just defer any applications that aren’t awful?..
Or does it really mean I just missed the cut?
I was rejected in state with SAT scores significantly above the average (2150). So, assuming the rest of my application wasn’t absolutely horrendous (I am not quite sure about this), it seems that rejections are given to students who just missed the cut. I’d say that a deferral indicates that your application significantly exceeded all of the requirements.
