do middle schoolers ever really get like 2350+ on their sats?

Definitely. One of my friends when she was in middle school took the old SAT and scored a 1500 something out of 1600, which would be equivalent to a 2300+ on today’s SAT.

I got a 1330 in 8th grade (out of 1600)
got a 2230 this past April (now in 11th grade)

I think I got like a 1000 something, but then again the SAT usually pwns me. Hopefully not on Saturday.

1500 for a mid-schooler is incredible, but a 2300 on the new SAT is definately better than a 1500 on the old one.

Example:

2300 770V 770M 760W
1500 750V 750M

A 1500 translates to around 2250 (assuming relatively equal distribution betweeen sections), but it’s still an amazing score.

Yeah. Some have aced (1600/2400). It makes me sick. =P

the old test was easier too since it has been recentered.
The old 1500 is as difficult to get as the new 2200 even though when you convert it directly it is 2250. But the percentile for 1500 is the same for 2200.

r u kidding? last year i got 450V and 500M, and this year ive got 530CR, 630W, and 650M. the math was like easier squared and thats why i like it because i hate challenges and just want to cruise through life on the easy street

and the verbal stuff was easier too. either that or i just magically turned from dumb to average since seventh grade

i took the old one in 7th grade and got 1160 out of 1600. but this girl i know got 1580 out of 1600 in 8th grade.

now i took the test twice as an 8th grader and got 1850 and 1830.

…uh…

I guess the answer to the topic is “YES” according to that article.

Now I wanna see a middle schooler pull off a 2400. I would bow to him/her.
